Opening times

Tuesdays to Thursdays and weekends:
10:00-18:00

Fridays: 10:00-22:00

Mondays: Closed

The last admission time is thirty minutes before closing.

The museum is open on all public holidays unless they fall on a Monday.

Location

The museum is situated in the heart of the city on Kasturba Road, in close proximity to Cubbon Park and across the road from the Government Museum and the Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum.

Admission

Bags and backpacks smaller than 30 cm x 42 cm x 10 cm are allowed in the galleries, but must be worn in the front or on one shoulder. Larger items must be checked in to lockers or the cloakroom, available for rental.

We welcome wheelchairs and baby strollers in the galleries. These are also available to borrow free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Museum is on Kasturba Road, within an easy walking distance of Cubbon Park, MG Road and Vidhana Soudha metro stations.

By public transport

Parking may be found on Kasturba, Cross Road, parallel to Lavelle Road, as well as at UB City.

The Museum is designed with mobility in mind, with accessible parking, pathways and bathrooms for ease of access.
